Apperang: Get Paid To Download Free Apps

Apple! Apps! Fun! The Future?
Apperang: Apps within an App
Apperang: Apps within an App
Here’s my first hub about apps and it’s an interesting one. First of all, I have to introduce you to Apperang, which is like a vault for apps. I’m not fully aware of how Apperang makes money, but I know it pays out when you download an app.
I wanted to make this hub more about apps rather than Apperang, but to fully get my message through I have to expand on this part first. Apperang is a company that pays out users of the iphone, ipad and ipod touch when they download their apps from the itunes store. The funny thing is that they actually pay you to install free apps, which is weird because some of the apps aren’t free – but when you download them through Apperang, they are at your disposal free of charge.
I am still not sure how they make money, although I am really not that fussed about knowing how it works for them, but that brings me to believe that they may not be a company of a reputable standard?
Back to the topic though, I wanted to write about the money that can be made from creating apps.
First of all, an app is not hard to create and although the games, gadgets and techy apps seem to be the most popular, it’s the free ones that are all the rage at the moment.
If you make an app and give it away for free, as long as it appeals to at least one niche group or audience, you will grow a following. Build a website around your app and stick up relevant ads that you can make a commission from and life will be good. However, your first point of call should be visiting Admob and signing up as a developer, which will give you an account and make you more money in the long run. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Admob, they are an advertising company that have recently been bought by the big G. Now if Google are entering a market, it usually means that there is money to be made there. Just like when PPC/Adwords began, this is the ‘good times’ of Admob.
The developers don’t get much from the ads that are run through their apps but if you can develop a great app, you can make some decent coin. Although this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, there are a lot of people that stand to win if they get the equation right.
Okay, so an app inside an app, think that’s different? With the launch of Apperang, I’m sure there will be more to follow and with that in mind, here’s something to think about:
If Apperang are paying for installs of their apps, why not create an app that promotes the installation of Apperange apps?
This way you get the commissions of an affiliate as well as the income of the developers, and you could actually make this a free app as well.
There would still be one more question though; what is the best way to get your app downloaded at the cheapest price? Maybe admob?
Anyway, hope I’ve given you all something to think about…
